Overview

RCW Web Design is a small (in fact, very small) web design consultancy based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

However, what we lack in size is more than made up for by our personal service. For instance, the person you speak to at the outset of your project will be the same person who will take care of the development of your website as well as its subsequent maintenance.

Website development is a strange amalgam of many skills: marketing, copy writing, graphic design, navigation design and computer programming. On top of all this, a vital ingredient is experience. RCW has been working exclusively on the design, deployment and maintenance of websites since 1996. Prior to this, RCW was in the field of business presentation graphics for 25 years. So, whilst the method of delivery has evolved, the underlying need for clear, concise and accurate delivery of information remains unchanged.

All websites are unique but nearly all have one common need: to quickly engage their intended audience and then communicate their message Cartoon: RCW works for clients of all sizes clearly. Often, the initial message should be followed by some call for action such as 'buy', 'book', 'subscribe', 'contact us' or, failing this, the visitor should at least leave the website with a positive impression.

RCW has worked for clients of all sizes and on websites of all sizes (from a single page to hundreds of pages). Apart from those clients whose sites we have designed, deployed and now maintain, we also frequently collaborate with creative agencies and other designers to provide specialised skills such as HTML programming and CGI/Perl scripting.

Once a website is deployed, it's still not finished. In fact, a good website is never finished. This is one of the great strengths of web publishing - a website can be quickly and frequently updated to ensure that all the information on it is right up to date, that news really is news, and that information such as product specifications, prices and stockist lists are all current.
